Padel Court Build takes padel schemes from site to planning consent and on to handover, across the UK. Padel Court Build is a SustainPlan Ltd service. SustainPlan is the sustainability and building compliance consultancy in the team, working alongside planning consultants, architects in London and the North, BREEAM assessors and court installers. Sam Guest, SustainPlan’s founder, leads the planning and compliance side, and Alex Winser, founder of WeDo Property Services, manages the build. One team, one contract, one set of drawings.
Who we are
One team quotes, runs and signs off your job, with no layers in between. Sam and Alex have known each other for 25 years: Sam checks the scope, the price and the paperwork, and Alex runs the work on the ground from the first visit to handover.

Sam Guest
Compliance and client lead
Sam has spent around ten years in building compliance and energy assessment. For seven years he ran a building compliance consultancy whose clients included McLaren, Tesco, Camden Market, Chelsea Football Club, the Post Office, the Ministry of Defence, CBRE and Savills. He now runs SustainPlan, a UK compliance consultancy, and is an Elmhurst-accredited energy assessor. On every job he checks the scope, the price and the paperwork, so the work is done right and signed off first time.

Company details
Padel Court Build is run by SustainPlan Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17085854. 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ.
Who is behind Padel Court Build?
SustainPlan Ltd, a UK sustainability and building compliance consultancy at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. SustainPlan’s day-to-day work is energy statements, Part L calculations, overheating assessments, whole life carbon, circular economy and BREEAM, for architects, developers and operators. You can see that wider work at SustainPlan.
Padel Court Build has its own name because padel buyers search for padel, and because a padel scheme needs more than one discipline. SustainPlan runs the brand and is accountable for the work.
Who runs your project?
Two named people. Sam Guest founded SustainPlan and leads compliance, planning and design coordination on every padel scheme: the energy, overheating, carbon and BREEAM work, and clearing planning problems with the planner and architect. Across the UK, he manages a network of around 300 specialist contractors and assessors.
Alex Winser founded WeDo Property Services and has over a decade in the property industry. He manages the build: on site, in charge of the builder and the trades, and the person you call while the courts go in. More on who we work with.
Why was the team put together?
Because padel schemes kept hitting the same wall, and Sam saw it on SustainPlan’s own padel work. A padel club looks simple, but planning treats a clubhouse as a new non-domestic building, with energy, carbon, overheating and often BREEAM on top of noise and lighting. When each report comes from a different firm, the figures drift apart and the council asks why. We put the planner, the architect and the assessors in one team, so the council reads one consistent story.
What has the team done on padel?
- Old Blues RFC, Merton: six covered courts and a clubhouse for Padel United. SustainPlan wrote the energy statement, Part L model, TM52 overheating study, whole life carbon assessment and BREEAM pre-assessment, and re-issued them to answer the council’s review. The clubhouse sits 72.9% below the Part L 2021 target.
- Rocket Padel, Battersea Power Station: the post-construction circular economy assessment, with 99.96% of non-hazardous waste diverted from landfill.
Both are on our case studies page.
Who builds the courts?
Our installers and groundworks teams build the base, the courts, the lights and any canopy. The LTA recommends SAPCA-registered contractors where possible, building to the SAPCA Code of Practice with a 10-year court warranty. Any memberships our installers hold are theirs, and we show them only once confirmed.
Who writes the noise and lighting reports?
Our specialist consultants on each scheme. We brief them and feed them the design data, and keep their reports consistent with ours. We do not present their work as our own.
How do we work out prices?
Build prices on this site come from the LTA’s 2025 construction guidance and named price guides, and each page says which. They are typical figures: your price depends on your site and is confirmed in writing after a survey, with VAT shown separately. Planning, design and sustainability reports are quoted for each scheme.
What will you not see on this site?
Made-up projects, reviews or prices. We do not show stock photos as our work, and we only name a firm once it agrees. Planning outcomes are published only once confirmed.
